The role
SoftwareONE - SLM Technical Consultant DACH
Join the SoftwareONE Software Lifecycle Management (SLM) integration team and work with a talented group of system engineers, technology consultants, software compliance specialists and be part of our next generation SLM services based on state-of-the-art technologies.
Full system integration cycle: Plan - Build - Run
The primary focus is to support our customers in conceptual, architectural and operational activities for our core technologies (like Flexera FNMS, Snow Software, ServiceNow) we use to provide first class SLM solutions and services. It contains (non-exhaustive enumeration):
- Plan
- Creation of conceptual designs for implementation of SLM technology
- Designing of SLM technology landscapes (ITAM, ITSM, Procurement)
- Project planning for technical implementation
- Support engagement managers for all technical requirements
- 2nd Level Presales Support / Due Diligence for prospect
- Build
- Technology Implementation
- Create integrations between different systems
- Migration, Optimization, Automation and Extension for existing technologies
- Development of Interfaces (standard / non-standard) based on customer requirements
- Setup of multi-tier environments On Premise and Cloud based
- Run
- Maintenance of customer environments (Support, Patching, Enhancements)
- Monitoring of Services and Interfaces
- Check Accuracy and Completeness of data gathering within SLM solution
- Support SLM consultants for compliance reporting, data analysis and troubleshooting
What we need to see from you
With your broad general technology and software understanding and your strong passion for system integration and problem solving you will be our perfect match:
- Bachelor’s / alternative degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Basic project management method certification (i.e. Prince2, PMP, ITIL, Scrum)
- 3+ years of software industry experience - Software Asset Management (SAM) experience
- Significant experience designing and implementing ITAM, ITSM or SAM solutions
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Deep SQL, PowerShell and automation skills
- Experience with open source technologies like Linux, MySQL
- Azure, AWS, GCP foundation knowledge
- API queries, Data Analysis Skills and use of tools like MS Excel, MS BI, Tableau, Cognos, etc.
- Analyze, Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel & Access. SQL Server
- Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
- Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills
- Ability to execute project plans, manages multiple tasks and prioritize workloads
- Must be able to adapt to an environment where priorities may shift frequently
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Near Fluent in German, English and ideally some French (written and spoken)
- Software Licensing knowledge for any publishers is an advantage
